Orlando Theme Park News - Summer 2024 Updates

Well, it’s certainly been an exciting kickoff to summer here in Orlando, Florida! I’ve been thrilled to be able to share so many new things that are happening, and there’s still so much more to look forward to. In this blog post, I’ll share a bit about what’s been going on and things to be excited for!

Here’s a few highlights so far of Orlando theme park news and our summer 2024 updates & recaps:

UNIVERSAL’S EPIC UNIVERSE PREVIEW CENTER HAS OPENED!

This is major! Universal Orlando Resort is building a brand new theme park that is scheduled to open in 2025 – Epic Universe! It will feature five entirely new WORLDS – Dark Universe, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon Isle of Berk, Wizarding World of Harry Potter Ministry of Magic, and the grand central area, Celestial Park. We were able to get a first look at this brand new preview center and I’m so excited to be able to share it with you in a video that’s up now! It features a massive model that uses AR really well to highlight detailed about the worlds and attractions within them. And of course, I had to buy some Dark Universe merchandise!! This is major Orlando theme park news, and a huge step towards this historic new theme park opening in 2025!

DISNEY MAGIC CRUISE TO LOOKOUT CAY AT LIGHTHOUSE POINT

We booked the preview cruise to visit Disney Cruise Line’s brand new destination in the Bahamas, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Our sailing was the first ship of guests to visit this new destination on the island of Eleuthera. It was really interesting to be there while this is so new! Not only were we the very first ship of guests to visit the island, many of the crew had never been or worked on the island either! From the crystal clear neon blue water to the fly infestations, amazing character costumes and more. It’s all in the vlog!

There is so much more happening in the parks – from BRAND NEW Nighttime show and parade at Universal Orlando, DreamWorks Land, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opening soon, Test Track closing forever to be re-themed, the Country Bear Musical Jamboree opening, and lots more! CROSS-COUNTRY ROAD TRIP

This is a little before summer, but still counts as part of the amazing year 2024 has been so far. We spent nearly the entire month of April 2024 driving across the USA on an epic cross-country road trip. The trip centered around being in Texas for the Great Solar Eclipse of 2024 and was an unforgettable, amazing experience.
