Today, Universal Orlando Resort made some huge announcements about Epic Universe, the currently under-construction theme park scheduled to open in 2025. Let’s go over what was announced and what we know so far!

Epic Universe – Celestial Park
Here is what Universal has shared about Celestial Park:
“With acres of rolling gardens, chasing waterways and strolling pathways, Celestial Park puts the “park” back in “theme park.” As soon as guests enter the imaginative world, they’ll embark on a journey of discovery, thrills and excitement as they wander through lush living gardens nestled along shimmering waters surrounded by stunning architecture inspired by astronomical and mythological elements. Here, guests can relax while taking in the sights and sounds around them, board a shooting comet for an exhilarating roller coaster adventure, dine on delectable cuisine, shop exclusive merchandise to commemorate their visit and more.”
Celestial Park Rides
Starfall Racers & Constellation Carousel
Celestial Park will feature the most thrilling roller coaster in the park – Starfall Racers!
Guests will ride comets on this dual-launch roller coaster with a celestial theme. Starfall Racers will reach speeds up to 62 mph, heights up to 133 feet, along 5,000 feet of track. Starfall Racers will feature unique elements including the “Celestial Spin,” a criss-cross maneuver. At night, the “comets” will be lit and appear like comets shooting across the night sky!
Celestial Park will also feature a unique carousel called Constellation Carousel.
Constellation Carousel is the grand centerpiece of Celestial Park. With beautiful blue and gold hues, riders will board animals representing constellations in the Milky Way that glide forwards, backwards and 360 degrees! The ceiling, which from outside looks like stained glass, will have a star tracker inside, featuring celestial star patterns. So you’ll be riding a constellation under a night sky! This sounds so dreamy and is such a fantastical take on a classic carousel.
Astronomica
There will also be an interactive wet-play area called Astronomica, that will double as a compass pointing to the lands of Epic Universe.
Epic Universe Dining in Celestial Park
Celestial Park will feature two main restaurants and a few quick service dining locations, so already some great sounding food and this doesn’t even include the food in each land! Let’s go over what we’ve got to eat in Celestial Park so far:
Atlantic – a full-service “surf and turf” restaurant set inside a Victorian aquarium complete with captivating views of Celestial Park.
An Undersea Adventure in Fine Dining
Across the shimmering waters of the Neptune pool in Celestial Park, Atlantic is an undersea culinary fantasy. Inside glass walls reminiscent of an enormous Victorian aquarium, starfish dwell peacefully with serene, illuminated fish swimming above you. Indulge in exceptional seafood and steaks or enjoy a cocktail at the lively Aquaria Bar.
The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant – where diners take a culinary journey across Asia as they enjoy authentic Chinese, Japanese and Thai fare in this full-service restaurant accented with neon dragons and ethereal lanterns.
The Glow of Neon. The Allure of Asian Delicacies
Take a culinary journey across Asia at The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant in Universal Epic Universe. Step inside a bustling courtyard, where it’s always evening under the glow of ethereal lanterns. Enjoy authentic Pan-Asian cuisine as dazzling neon dragons chase across the walls or curl up with a cocktail at The Tiger Bar.
And here is a bit more that will be in Celestial Park – including quick service dining, shops and entertainment:
- The Oak & Star Tavern: where guests can enjoy savory barbecue,
- Pizza Moon: which will serve up a tasty menu featuring a variety of pizzas, and more.
- The Nintendo Super Star Store: where guests can shop an assortment of merchandise themed to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD (this shop will be outside of the Super Nintendo Land).
- Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets: where guests can satisfy their cravings with a unique selection of sweet treats, and more.
- Entertainment: impressive fountain shows (different for day and night), music, interactive lighting, and more! We can imagine there may be characters in Celestial Park as well, but we don’t have the full info on that yet. I will definitely update you when we learn more!
Universal Helios Grand Hotel
A grand structure at the end of Celestial Park is the Universal Helios Grand Hotel. Carrying through the Celestial theme, the new Hotel is themed as a place where the heavens and earth unite. It will feature 500 rooms, amazing views, and a dedicated theme park entrace!
Epic Universe will have two other hotels – Stella Nova and Terra Luna, that will be just outside the park. I recently went and made a video checking out the construction on those – here it is for you to take a look at: https://youtu.be/bDb-cGGfDMo
In future announcements, we will learn about the 4 seperate lands at Epic Universe – The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon Isle of Berk, and the one I am probably most excited for – Dark Universe, featuring a new take on classic Universal Monsters!
