One of my favorite events of the year here in Florida – MEGACON Orlando – was held at the Orange County Convention Center on February 1-4, 2024. It was a fabulous weekend of interactive social fandom and I made a full video of the opening day to show you some of my favorite things and new things I checked out this year.

A Petrified Forest had a brand new full scale haunted house, several Star Wars costume and fan groups created a full outpost, amazingly detailed with photo ops, interactive exhibits, play areas, working droids, Ghostbusters groups, and the highlight of my day – getting to sit in and explore “Baby,” Dean’s Impala from Supernatural! And there was just so much, it’s an incredible experience and I hope the video can give you a better view of how special this event is! It’s almost overwhelming how creative and welcoming people can be, and attending a convention like this really brings people together to enjoy their fandoms and interests. Thank you to everyone who was kind and open, allowed me to include them in my video, and explore their wonderful creativity!
