Today we got a new episode of The Making of Dollywood NightFlight Expedition from Dollywood theme park! We got more of a look at the construction and story of this new ride so let’s see what we got!

NightFlight Expedition
Expanding on Dollywood’s Wildwood Grove, NightFlight Expedition is a groundbreaking hybrid coaster and whitewater river ride with Cora and Jasper Oakley leading you on an extraordinary journey to discover the mystery of the legendary Secret Lake.
Embarking on a daring journey aboard remarkable vehicles, adventurers will experience four thrilling experiences in a first-of-its-kind attraction as they fly through the Smokies, conquer raging rapids, climb mountain peaks and glide across a shimmering lake. Follow the roots and light the way!
What makes this ride so unique and interesting is its hybrid nature, and multiple ride experiences in one! A coaster and a whitewater river ride, BOTH, that gives you water ride and roller coaster experiences, in a story driven, dark ride experience. Something very different than anything else at Dollywood, or at any other regional theme parks!
We got a look at the ride vehicle at IAAPA 2025, and see how it’s designed to take riders through a beautiful night ride, with glowing fireflies and a raging river rapid.
Each ride vehicle holds 10 passengers and travels over air, water and land! It also has lights inside that glow along with the ride story!
In the concept art, we see night scenes with glowing lights and bioluminescence, it looks so neat!
