HHN 2024 will take place on select nights from August 30-Nov 3 at Universal Studios Florida.
As a premier theme park Halloween event, Halloween Horror Nights, often shortened to HHN, takes place at Universal parks around the world. This blog post is focused on the event held at Universal Orland Resort.

In THIS POST, we will cover the remaining 4 houses that are tied to intellectual properties – from movies, shows, games, etc.
HHN 2024 IP HOUSES:
House Announcement 7: A Quiet Place
Silence your screams if you want to survive the terrifying, post-apocalyptic world. Like the Abbott family, you must keep quiet as you travel from the farmhouse to the woods, to the foundry. As soon as you make a sound, monstrous creatures who can hear the slightest noise, will hunt you down and silence you for good.
This is an interesting choice as the entire premise of the movie is that humans have to stay as silent as possible to try to survive this new species that attacks based on any sound. Survivors have to find tricks to work around this, and go to extreme measures, but the monstrous creatures attack fast! Will this house have silent sections? The film does have a musical score, so we can hope to hear music setting the scene.
House Announcement 8: Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
An ancient artifact has released a chilling new entity, Garraka. He’ll stop you cold. Only the Ghostbusters can keep you from getting iced.
As a huge fan of the Ghostbusters franchise, I am very excited for this, even though this isn’t my favorite film in the Ghostbusters world. I really enjoyed the 2019 Ghostbusters HHN house, it’s a mix of fun, nostalgia, and some scares! HHN has included humor, and even some “silly” houses (think Killer Klowns from Outer Space), for as long as I can remember. Humor and horror work so well together – you’re laughing, you’re screaming, you’re having a blast! Even in the scariest houses, humor can add to the scares, or sometimes lightening things up.
House Announcement 9: Insidious: The Further
Enter The Further as demons try to ensnare you. The Red Faced Demon will lure you into his lair. KeyFace will unlock your fears. And more.
This will be the third time the Insidious franchise appears at HHN Orlando, once as its own entire house, and another time as a section in a Blumhouse .. house. So far I’ve only seen the first Insidious film, and let me tell you, that movie is SCARY… and good! It’s scary good. I literally screamed multiple times watching this film, and I’m looking forward to seeing the several more parts that I haven’t yet, and hope to be caught up by HHN opening night. The first film though, is an excellent, suspenseful metaphysical horror film. It uses suspense in a very satisfying way, and without giving any spoilers, has some great plot twists and turns! HHN and Blumhouse have a long history together and this is a nice fit.
House Announcement 10: Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines
The “Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines” haunted houses will introduce guests to an all-new terrifying storyline, as they find themselves in the center of the ultimate battle between two unexpected alliances of classic female Universal Monsters. Fans will encounter Saskia Van Helsing, a new fearless huntress and daughter of revered Abraham Van Helsing – who killed Count Dracula by driving a stake through his heart and destroying his reign of terror. Saskia now faces Dracula’s daughter, Countess Marya, who arose from the dead to seek revenge for her father and destroy the Van Helsing bloodline. With a mission to kill, Dracula’s daughter, from 1936’s Dracula’s Daughter, forms a deadly alliance with the She-Wolf, inspired by the 1946 film She-Wolf of London, and Anck-Su-Namun, from the 1932 film The Mummy – only to be intercepted by Saskia and an unlikely ally, The Bride of Frankenstein. The terrifying adventure will take guests on a journey between the hunted and the hunters in a life and death battle with only one bloodline left to survive.
This is a thrilling announcement! Universal Monsters houses are always a fan favorite, and for a reason. There is room to use classic and iconic elements, and also to add on to their storylines and expand the Universal Classic Monsters Universe!
