Hello spooky friends! We’ve got our very first house announcement for Halloween Horror Nights 2024 in Orlando, Florida, The first house announced is Slaughter Sinema 2. This is a sequel (hence the “2”) to an original house first featured in 2018. The premise is a haunted retro drive-in movie theater set in Carey, Ohio (a fictional version of the real Carey, Ohio that is featured prominantly in HHN lore).
At a recent panel, it was announced that one of the movies that will shown at the Carey Drive-In will be Heavy Metal Hell 3-D (do we think this will be a 3-D house, or section??). So far, this is all the information we have regarding houses or scare zones for Halloween Horror Nights in its 33rd year at Universal Orlando Resort – HHN 33!
For the 2024 sequel house, the Halloween Horror Nights account posted that there will be 8 new “movies” from horror b-movies, creature features, spaghetti westerns and more. Guests will walk through ghoulish scenes from each original movie as they make their way through the drive-in.
This is exciting as it means it’s the start of HHN announcement season! I love getting excited for the event all summer long, seeing the park transform and prepare for this premier Halloween event!
