EPCOT – New World Celebration Gardens has Opened, Walt the Dreamer Statue unveiled, New Luminous the Symphony of Us fireworks show & more | Theme Park News Dec 2023
They call it EPCOT… the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow as envisioned by Walt Disney may never have come to full fruition, but out of his dream, arose a theme park that is beloved by millions, including myself! Through the years of visiting Walt Disney World, I’ve seen a lot of changes at EPCOT, some great, some not so great. On December 5, 2023, Walt Disney’s birthday, many of us breathed a sigh of relief when long-standing construction walls that closed off a large area of the park finally came down. Not everyone loved what was behind those walls, but walking through the new gardens felt wonderful after years of walls closing this entire area off. On that date, was also the debut of the brand new nighttime spectacular, Luminous the Symphony of Us. The statue of Walt, called Walt the Dreamer, meant to be looking out over EPCOT’s World Showcase, also debuted as part of the new World Celebration Gardens, so of course we had to get a photo and dream along with Walt over what EPCOT could have been, but more importantly, what it still can become to million of people making new memories at Walt Disney World.
Below are some photos of the newly unveiled area on December 5, 2023, and you can find a detailed tour plus the opening night of the brand new nighttime show, Luminous the Symphony of Us, on my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/9trNTbgp3fg

Spacious new seating areas, charing ports, designed to reflect the areas each portion of the gardens are nearest.
