Today, Universal Orlando Resort revealed full details about Epic Universe’s signature hotel, the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, scheduled to open in 2025! Let’s go over everything that has been announced:
“Developed by the Same Creative Team Behind Epic Universe, Universal Helios Grand Hotel Draws Inspiration from the Astronomical and Mythological Themes of Celestial Park and Features the Destination’s Very First Dedicated Theme Park Entrance for the Hotel’s Guests.”
Hotel details:
Universal Helios Grand hotel will be located onsite at Epic Universe, and will rise up from Celestial Park, the grand heart of the new theme park. Both are scheduled to open in 2025. The theme is Mediterranean-inspired escape, and is meant to be both relaxing and immersive, featuring 500 guest rooms.
One of the key benefits of staying at this hotel is a dedicated entrance to Epic Universe! Located right off the lobby is a direct, convenient entrance into to the park for those with valid theme park admission.
Let’s talk DINING!
Bar Helios – that’s right, Grand Helios will feature a rooftop bar with 360 views of Epic Universe! They will feature handcrafted cocktails, as well as tapas and favorite dishes.
For more quick dining options, we’ll have:
Flora Taverna – a full-service restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner and lobby bar with a light and airy atmosphere – featuring an open-style kitchen with live cooking, Mediterranean comfort foods, pizza ovens, and al fresco seating overlooking the beautiful scenery of Celestial Park;
Aurora Market – a contemporary coffee shop and market offering freshly-roasted coffees, delightful grab-and-go food items and enticing snack and dessert options from morning to night;
Lotus Lagoon – a poolside bar and grill where guests can cool off with refreshing cocktails or non-alcoholic drinks and enjoy casual fare options like burgers, salads, sandwiches and more.
Now Let’s Look at the Hotel Rooms:
Bright, inviting and warm, the guest rooms and suites of Universal Helios Grand Hotel evoke the tranquility of a blissful garden – with many of the rooms offering fantastic views of Epic Universe. And unique to Universal Helios Grand Hotel are the imaginative How to Train Your Dragon Kids’ Suites, where little ones can take to the skies and rest amongst dragons in a colorful room inspired by the Viking village of Berk.
What about the POOL?
Grand Helios will feature a zero-entry pool, with underwater speakers, poolside cabanas for rent, a hot tub (yay!), poolside movies, fun activities and more!
Where is Helios Grand Hotel located?
Onsite at the brand new Epic Universe theme park that is currently being built by Universal. Epic Universe is located near the other Universal Orlando Resort parks – Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure – but the distance will require a drive or bus ride. Universal will provide busses for hotel guest transportation to and from their theme parks.
When will it open?
It is scheduled to open in 2025, just like Epic Universe!
What hotel level is it?
With the addition of the new Epic Universe hotels, Universal Orlando Resort has updated their resort hotel categories. Universal Helios Grand will be in The Signature Collection.
